sKuareWave?
sKuareWave is holographic music creation in XR.
Players wave and pinch inside holographic sKuares, to play and to program patterns. sKuareWave consists of instrument sequencers and a drum sequencer, each supporting variable-length sequences. Instrument, and scale can be changed in real-time with hand movements, as the composition plays. skuareWave has realtime audio effects that can be manipulated through movement. Voice, and live instruments can be incorporated and looped. The players view is projected to a screen, and audio is transmitted wirelessly, with low latency.
sKuareWave was conceived at the Cyberdelic Society Hackathon in November in Berlin XXX, and the work emerges from decades of teaching and research at TU Dublin, lead by inventor and founder Dr Bryan Duggan.
